Caring For Your FaceHere's a short guide if you need a base program to get started:
1. CLEANSING
* From the moment you step out of your house to the time you get back, you're exposed to tons of dust and dirt, all going on your face. Cleansing will remove old make-up as well as all the grime and grease that accumulates during the day.
* Tie your hair to keep it off your face.
* Remove mascara with a cotton bud moistened with eye-cleansing lotion.
* Remove eyeshadow by gently wiping it off with a pad of clean cotton cloth moistened with eye-cleansing lotion.
* Use face cleansing cream over the nose, around the eyes, the back of the chin, across your forehead and cheeks. Massage it on the skin, starting from the neck, using a gentle upward motion all the way up to the forehead. Remove the cream afterwards with tissue pads using the same upward motion and starting from the neck as well.
* Wash your face with water and a gentle, non-irritating face wash or soap.
Toners will remove all traces of dirt, make up and residues from cleansing products which are left on the skin. This is why it is advised to apply a toning product after cleansing.
Use a pad of cotton cloth moistened with a toner and apply across all areas of your face and neck. Make sure to not forget the crevices around the nose and chin.
3. MOISTURIZING
Moisturizers contain and augment natural skin moisture, rehydrating tired skin and reversing effects of drying from weather or chemical resiudes from skin products. It is important to find a good moisturizer that suits your skin to make sure it doesn't irritate it or aggravate skin conditions by clogging your pores.
Moisturizing will allow your skin to remain smooth and supple.
Apply moisturizers every night after cleansing and toning. You can be generous in your application to ensure your skin is well-hydrated when you wake up in the morning.
